Itinerary for a 3 days Lake Mburo Safari
Highlights: Game drive, Boat cruise, nature walk and cultural experiences.
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
Early sunrise finds your guide at the accommodation reception, ready for set off. Before 7:00pm drive through the popular Ankole Masaka dry corridor with our first stop at the Equator located at Kayabwe. Take a break, take photos while sipping on water. Then dive into a beautiful scenic drive through short savannah grassland with acacia woodland blending with metamorphic rocks and branch to feeding indigenous long horned ankole cattle with Burchell’s zebras. Arrive for lunch at Igongo Cultural Center and overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and boat ride.
Have a delicious African breakfast very early in the morning, in mumbles of the wild. Our guide takes us for a game drive as we roam around the park taking a scenic view of zebras feeding in acacia woodlands, wetlands with impalas, Topi’s, rock outcrops, birdlife and the long horned Ankole indigenous cattle along the Eastern edge of the park.
Return to the lodge for lunch afterwhich, we embark on a two-hour boat cruise. The cool breeze sweeps our skin as we get a glance on crocodiles, hippos, the gorgeous kingfisher, striking Eagles and an awesome sun set.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala.
Checkout of the cozy hotel and visit the Igongo Cultural Centre Museum for a history on the natives of Ankole kingdom, and the Bunyoro-Kitara empire at large. Travel towards Kampala with a stop at the Equator at Kayabwe for a lunch of amazing African cuisines and have more photos, arrive Kampala in the evening.
